History
Rethink was founded in 2018 by entrepreneurs and friends David Franco and Aaron Strom. Not long after the pair met in 2010 while working for a national construction company, David began listing and managing Airbnb rentals in the New York City metro area, building a wildly successful portfolio of more than 60 listings. Meanwhile, Aaron founded a Manhattan-based construction company that quickly grew into a multi-million dollar business with over 100 employees, which executes commercial-residential projects up and down the Eastern Seaboard. David and Aaron remained friends, and in 2016 began crafting a company that would combine the property management empire David had built with the construction capabilities of Aaron’s enterprise. After two years of planning, their aspirations came to fruition in the form of Rethink Asset Management. By combining David’s ability to source, list and manage short-term rentals, and Aaron’s skill to build and manage teams to remodel, construct and maintain commercial residential units, the two partners created a vehicle to capitalize on the short-term rental market in a completely investor-friendly way.
Rethink currently has over $10 million under management, with another $12 million in contract for the next 18 months.
